Boarding Services

Introducing PACK PLAY!

We are finding that many of our guests handle their time away from their people better if they have time in the dog pack, so we are thrilled to be able to offer Pack Play.  Pack Play is intended for dogs who are known to like and not be aggressive toward other dogs.  Packs are selected by many factors including age, size, temperament, and play style.  Initial consultation is free to ensure that we have the optimum mix of personalities, then $5/ session thereafter.

Country Haven Kennels has 26 climate controlled indoor/outdoor runs of different sizes available to suit your needs.  We have runs lined with opaque cement boards for dogs who do best when they can't see the other dogs in the kennel.  We have double runs for pairs of dogs, giant dogs, or dogs who just need extra space.  We have runs specially modified to thwart would-be escape artists.  Our running yards are surrounded by 6 foot stockade fencing.  For smaller dogs and puppies, we have large crates set up in the grooming room.

Your dog's happiness and comfort is our #1 priority!

At Country Haven Kennels, we try to keep the dogs' routines as consistent as possible, because we understand that dogs thrive on routine.  We encourage owners to provide the diet their dog is accustomed to, but we do provide (at no additional charge) a lamb formula of treats and food that we feel is easily digested by most dogs.  Likewise, owners may provide bedding that smells like home or we will provide something suitable from our linen closet.  Please note that sometimes dogs are more destructive when boarding than at home, and some dogs destroy their beds.  Bring items at your own risk.  We do not charge an additional fee for the administration of medications.  We will give pills and topical treatments, but we are not a trained veterinary staff and we are not comfortable giving shots or treating serious illness or injury.  Please verify with your vet that your pet is healthy enough to board both from the standpoint of being contagious to others or susceptible to further illness due to weakened immune system.

Country Haven Kennels offers its guests the benefits of a routine and skilled professional care.   All for one fixed price.

Boarding Requirements
All dogs must have current shots, including Rabies, Distemper/Parvo combo, and Bordatella (kennel cough) and be free of communicable illness and parasites. Ill dogs will not be accepted.  We accept dogs with a wide spectrum of issues, but if it is deemed that a dog is too aggressive or agitated to board safely we reserve the right to refuse service in the interest of safety of our staff and guests.  We defer to the judgment of our clients' veterinarians as to who is eligible to board on a case by case basis.  If you have any concern about the age or strength of your dog's immune system or ability to fight of common germs found in a kennel environment, be sure to contact your vet and be prepared to have their suggestions written out for the kennel staff if the dog does board with us.

A brief note about Kennel Cough: Being vaccinated with the Bordatella vaccine a full two weeks in advance may protect your dog from a high percentage of the germs that cause Kennel Cough, but there are many different strains, and not all of them are included in the vaccine.  Your dog may still contract a strain of Kennel Cough even if vaccinated for other strains.  Please discuss the risks of Kennel Cough with your vet prior to boarding.

2 day deposits are required for Holiday reservations and reservations during peak season (June-August). Please be sure to bring or send in your vet records and deposit to hold your spot well in advance of your planned stay!
